- The Chameleon is a wild card and can be played at any time apart from on an elephant
- Any card played must be equal to, or higher than, the rank of the top card on the discard pile, and if you can't go then you must pick up a card
- When an elephant is played the top card from the draw pile is immediately flipped over and placed on top of the elephant
