Genuine Japanese traditional candles Wa-rousoku made with all careful handwork using Ha-ze sumac wax by who focuses on producing traditional Japanese candles only with the techniques and materials that have preciously been passed down over generations since the Edo period.
These candles are all made with natural plant-derived materials and handwork that requires so much care, time and skills. The large and gentle flame of the OMORI candles create very special atmosphere which can only be possible from the way that their candles are crafted. These candles produce little soot and wax running so they burn clean - gentle to humans and environment.

ABOUT THE MAKER
is an independent family run traditional Japanese candle maker with a long history from a small town called Uchiko in Ehime prefecture. OMORI focuses on crafting only the genuine wa-rousoku candles that are completely handcrafted using the techniques and materials unchanged which have been passed down from generation to generation since the Edo period. Today, the 6th generation craftsman Taro and his son preserve the traditional skills that are so precious as there are only a handful of craftsman with these skills are left in Japan.
OMORI Candles do not craft candles using any other materials than natural materials taken from such as Ha-ze Japaense wax tree, nor do they use cast that would enable production in larger quantities.
